Knights of Columbus

Silver Rose August 12 and 13

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose has been a Knights of Columbus tradition for 57 years. In 1960, groups of Columbian Squires in Mexico, Canada and the United States decided to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe by carrying a rose across North America from Canada to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey, Mexico. The 2017 Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose Run began on March 5, 2017 in British Columbia, Canada and is making its way down through British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada and California.

Every stop along the route of the Silver Rose Pilgrimage is an occasion for prayer and spiritual renewal centered on the rosary.

District #122 and #121 are very excited and honored to host the Silver Rose this weekend at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fullerton and St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin. The Silver Rose will also be present at the Knighthood Degree at St. Mary’s on Saturday, August 12, 2017.

From there it will be escorted to St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church and will be present at the Installation of Orange County Chapter Officers and Past State Deputy Testimonial Sunday, August 13, 2017.
