Help With Hospitality Suite

Help Needed for Convention Hospitality Suite

The Annual California Knights of Columbus Convention is less than two months away!  By now delegates have been selected, alternates are designated, and hopefully, everyone going has made room reservations by now.  As always, Orange County will be hosting a great Hospitality Suite along with the San Gabriel Valley Chapter and the Arrowhead High Desert Chapter.  Planning for refreshments and activities are now in the works and this year Orange County is responsible for the Bar.

The Hospitality Suite will be open beginning on Thursday evening and throughout the days on Friday and Saturday.  It will only close during Eucharist celebrations.  Needless to say, this operation needs a lot of help.  We are looking for Brothers to work as bartenders, runners (for ice and supplies as needed), set up on Thursday, and tear down/packing/clean-up on Sunday morning.  The old saying goes; “Many hands make light work.”  Now we’re looking for hands! Please consider serving your Brothers and their Ladies for a couple of hours at some time during the weekend if you can.  Remember, delegates are to attend all business sessions of the Convention and should not help in the suite during those meetings.

Chapter Marshall Jack Haney has the lead for operating the bar during this event.  He is hoping that each Council that has representatives attending the Convention can provide at least one member who is willing and able to help make our Hospitality Room a success.  He is putting a schedule together now and if you can participate, please send him an email at hacjac@adelphia.net.  You can also call or text him at 714-746-0445. Let him know when you  are available and in what capacity you would like to help.
